Indians Defeated By Quinter
The Quinter Junior High School boys basketball teams competed with the Indians on Monday, November 25, in St. Francis. The Indians were defeated by the Quinter teams in both contests. The A-Team boys lost to Quinter by a score of 16-48. The B-Team boys lost to Quinter by a score of 15-42 in a game played in the St. Francis Grade School Gymnasium.
In the A-Team contest, St. Francis earned 5 points in the first period but trailed 5-12 after one quarter of action. Jordan Smull added 5 more to the St. Francis total in the second period, but the deficit continued to increase as Quinter added 19 points. St. Francis trailed 10-31 at halftime.
The Indians found it difficult to score in the second half earning only 6 more points. The Indians trailed 12-46 after three quarters and lost to the Bulldogs 16-48.
Scoring for St. Francis in the A-Team game were Cris Espino 9, Jordan Smull 5, and Aiden Fernandez 2. Quinter was led by Bradley Bogart (8th) with 14 points. Lakin Getz (8th) added 10, Avery Briggs (8th) 9, and Trace Kinderknecht (8th) 6.
The Indians will play Cheylin on December 3 in St. Francis.
