The Kansas Shrine Bowl has announced its selections for the annual all-star football game scheduled to be played at Lewis Field Stadium on the campus of Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas.  St. Francis seniors Joel McAtee and Levi Weeden have been selected to play in the 2007 game on July 28th.  Players are selected by mail ballot of nearly 40 sport media professionals.

Sixty-eight players from across the state of Kansas were selected for the game.  This is the first time that two St. Francis Indians have been invited to play in the same year.  Other St. Francis athletes honored to play in the Shrine Bowl in previous seasons include:  Bill Krueger (1984), Chris Blachard (1995), Andy Poling (1996), Jim Keller (1997), Justin McAtee (1998), Jon Zweygardt (2000), and Dustin Dunn (2002).
