Two Indians Play in All-Star Game
Two St. Francis Indian basketball players were selected to play in the 17th annual Northwest Kansas All-Star Basketball Classic. Twenty-five boys and twenty girls from Northwest Kansas were selected to play in the games. The games high-lighted the area's finest senior basketball players. The All-Star games were played at Colby Community Buillding on Sunday, April 18th.
Matt Raile and Trent Raile both had fine performances in the boys contest. Matt and Trent were on the "white" team. The "dark" team won the contest by a score of 77-70. Both players reported enjoying playing in the game.
Players participating on the "light" team were: Seth Ackerman-Brewster, Garrett Dreiling-Victoria, Daniel Moritz-Hays, Braden McKee-Colby, Dylan Moss-Golden Plains, Lex Parsons-Oakley, Trent Raile-St. Francis, Tyler Rathke-Hays, Calvin Schmitt-Wallace County, Julimar Silva-Healy, Michael Yoxal;-Thunder Ridge, Matt Raile-St. Francis, and Bryant Bomadier-Hays.
Tate Andrews from Wallace County and Marty Wendel of Ingalls were selected as co-MVP's of the all-star game at the conclusion of the contest.
The girls All-Stars included: Christina Anderson-Northern Valley, Eastin Casey-Natoma, Alison Cole-Northern Valley, Kelli Crittenden-Greeley County, Nichelle Erskine-Brewster, Kinley Kee-St. John's Catholic, Audrey Mote-Wallace County, Amanda Ray-Norton, Bailey Hemmert-Oakley, Kaitlyn Wolf-Norton, Emily Chessmore-Rawlins County, Kara Gfeller-Triplains, Jade Glunz-Scott City, Kenzi Knobbe-Wallace County, Gabrielle Kuhlman-Wallace County, Bethany Polifka-Ellis, Kisha O'Meara-Lucas-Luray, Payton Walker-Weskan, Justine Woofter-Scott City, and Carmin Hill-Hoxie.
