Senior Adam Guthmiller (215 #) has earned a 30-2 record so far this seasonThe 3A, 2A, 1A Regional Wrestling Tournament will be held in Goodland this weekend. Wrestling will begin on Friday, February 18th, at 2 PM at the Max Jones Field House in Goodland, Kansas. Saturday's competition will get underway at 11:00 AM. There will be twenty-three teams competing the the regional. Teams competing are Atwood-Rawlins County, Cimarron, Elkhart, Ellis, Goodland, Hays-Thomas More Prep-Marion, Hill City, Holcomb, Hoxie, Lakin, Leoti-Wichita County, Meade, Montezuma-South Gray, Norton-Norton Community, Oakley, Oberlin-Decatur Community, Plainville, Quinter, Scott City-Scott Community, St. Francis, Stockton, Sublette, Wakeeney-Trego Community.

Session 1--Friday, February 18th
Admission for Session I is: k-12 $4; Adults $6
Qualifiying and Round 1 on 3 mats beginning at 2:00 PM CT
Round 2-Championship Quarterfinals on 3 mats at (approx.) 5:00 PM CT
Round 3-Consolation First Round on 3 mats at (approx.) 6:30 PM CT
Round 4-Championship Semifinals on 2 mats at (approx.) 7:30 PM CT
Session II--Friday, February 19th
Admission for Session II is: K-12 $6; Adults $8
Round 5-Consolation Cross Bracketing on 3 mats at 11:00 AM CT
Round 6-Consolation Quarterfinals on 3 mats at (approx.) 1:00 PM
Round 7-Consolation Semifinals on 3 mats at (approx.) 3:00 PM
Round 8-Consolation Finals on 2 mats at (approx.) 5:00 PM
Round 9- Championship Finals on 1 mat at (approx.) 6:30 PM

Head wrestling coach Nathan Smith had the following comments on the upcoming tournament. "Norton, Scott City, Hoxie and Goodland all have strong tournament teams. We have some kids wrestling well at the right time. Our records don't do our kids justice because we put our kids our against the best competition we can find and we struggled early with our inexperience but have made strides through the season. We have some kids that could surprise some people this weekend."
