Twenty-eight seniors accepted their high school diploma at the 2013 Commencement Exercises held on Sunday, May 19th, 2013. The high school gymnasium was packed with family and friends supporting the graduates.
The graduates were escorted into the gymnasium by the honor guard consisting of juniors Randee Grover, Bailey Merklin, Mason Schiltz, Aly Schlepp, Derek Queen, Scott Warren, and Matthew White as the Concert Band played under the direction of Debbie Fiala. Pastor Randy Nelson delivered the invocation and benediction.

The graduation message was delivered by Colonel Bill Krueger. Colonel Krueger graduated from St. Francis High School with the class of 1984 and is now serving our country as the director of operations at Western Air Defense Sector, Washington Air National Guard, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington (near Tacoma). The North American Aerospace Defense Command governs air sovereignty and controls operations for 72% of the Western United States.
Dylan Peter, senior class vice-president, gave the senior farewell. Class president, Taylor Archibald, gave the senior talk. The seniors presented flowers to their parents to the melody of "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson.
Scholarships totaling $167,850 were presented to the class of 2013 by Principal Scott Carmichael and Steve Jenkins, senior class sponsor. Diplomas were presented by Kelly Gienger, Sherry Weeks, and Scott Carmichael.

Taylor plans to attend the University of Northern Colorado to study athletic training and psychology
Thomas plans to major in agricultural economics at Kansas State University
Clarice to major in pre-pharmacy at the University of Kansas
Foster will attend Colby Community College to study chiropractics
Laura plans to study pre-veterinary science at Fort Hays State University
Joey plans to study HVAC at Northwest Kansas Technical School
Lucas plans to study computer information systems at Metro State University
Tyler plans to major in biochemistry at Kansas State University
Gus plans to attend Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture to study diversified ag production systems.
