JH Wrestlers Compete in Atwood
The junior high wrestling team traveled to Atwood on Thursday evening, February 13th, to compete with teams from Greeley County, Hoxie, Rawlins County, Trego Community, and Wichita County. The young wrestlers competed well throughout the evening.

Coach Loyd shared the following comments, "The St. Francis junior high wrestling team had a very busy week. Thursday night we traveled to Atwood to compete against Hoxie, Leoti, Trego, Tribune, and Atwood, this was a pretty good preview of what our League tournament will look like in just under a week. I felt like we made improvements, and we were able to beat some kids that had beaten us earlier in the season, which is always a good sign. Again, we won more matches than we lost and I chalk that up as a victory in our book. This is a good group of kids that really push each other in the practice room and they do a tremendous job of supporting one another mat side."
The Indians will wrestle in the Junior Panther Classic Tournament, in Phillipsburg, on Saturday, February 15th.
