Junior High Musical Entertaining
The junior high girls musical was presented on Tuesday, March 10, in the high school auditorium. A large crowd was in attendance and all seemed to enjoyed the performance. The musical, "Princess Whatsername," was written by Brian D. Taylor, with music by Bill Francoeur. It was produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Englewood, Colorado.
The story began in the Misty Forest, where a girl was sleeping all alone. But when she awoke, nothing looked familiar to her. She couldn't remember anything -- not where she was from, how she got there or even her own name! She embarked on a journey to discover her identity and met several fairy-tale characters along the way -- Hansel and Gretel, Rumpelstiltskin, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Cinderella and Rapunzel to name a few. Some were helpful, some were dangerous and some were just plain weird, but all had information to help the young girl eventually realize her true identity as a princess. As with any good fairy tale, there's was also a prince! He was desperate to find the princess, but he was always one step behind and inadvertently rescues and wins the hearts of all the wrong princesses!
Members of the cast included EmmaLee Archuleta, Karly Bandel, Cassidy Busse, Jessica Confer, April Fernandez, Alondra Gomez, Gabrielle Hafer, Marlo Jensen, Lauren Johnson, Lindsey Johnson, Taylor Kinzer, Teagan Landenberger, Echoe Lennox, Jayden McGinnis, Audrey Meyer, Alex Queen, Sierra Robbins, Christina Stafford, Taighe Weeter, Shelby Wolff, Perla Yanez, Hannah Zimbal and Shalyn Zweygardt. Alex Queen made a special appearance as the prince. They were directed by Debbie Fiala.
