Jr. High Boys Basketball Tournament This Week
A Team Advances to Second Round
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Northwest Kansas League Junior High Boys Basketball Tournament will be held on Thursday, December 17, and Saturday, December 19, in Dighton. The A team boys tournament will be held in the newer Dighton High School Gym. The B team tournament will be held in the older Dighton High School Gym. Fans are reminded to enter through the north doors of Dighton High School to access both gymnasiums.
Seeding was completed on Monday, December 14. Below are the results of the A team seeding. Note: St. Francis won a coin flip to break the tie with Hoxie.

In round one on Thursday, St. Francis defeated Wallace County 64-12. The Indians will play Quinter on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Varsity Gym at Dighton High School in the semi-final contest. Quinter was a 43-18 winner over Greeley County in round one. If the Indians defeat Quinter, they will move into the championship game to be played at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. If the Indians lose to Quinter, they will play in the 3rd place contest at 12:30 p.m. at Dighton High School. To view/print the updated bracket for the A Team Tournament, click this link.
The results of the seeding for the B team tournament is below. Note: Rawlins County won over Decatur Community in head to head play.
