St. Francis Wins Bi-District Title

The Indians received their trophy for winning the Bi-District title that night.Saint Francis ended another game by halftime on Tuesday when they defeated Ness City with a 54-0 win in the first round of the playoffs.
After the game, the Indians accepted two trophies. One trophy was for winning the district title when they defeated Trego on October 27. The Indians also accepted the Bi-District trophy for defeating Ness City that night.
“It was fun and a good way to just start winning,” said Brock Waters, Saint Francis senior.
At the pep rally, Carl Werner, Saint Francis junior high athletic director, repeated a broadcasted interview with the head Ness City coach where he bragged about their team being quicker on the ball than Saint Francis.

“I’m extremely happy for the coaching staff and players,” said Yates. “The team executed at a higher level than our opponent and out performed them. The trip on Saturday will determine our ability to compete at a high level with short notice. Playing three games in nine days is tough on everyone and our boys are ready for the challenge.”
Blake Utsler, Saint Francis junior, said he is focusing on winning state one game at a time.
