Yearbook staff place at regionals and going to state

Congratulations to the Saint Francis Wigwam staff for competing extremely well at regionals and many placing. Each student who placed at regionals gets a ticket to compete at state journalism in Lawrence during the first weekend of May. 

Jessica Confer, senior, placed second in yearbook layout and third in yearbook copywriting.
Confer has placed all four years of her high school career. 
"It feels pretty good to make it my fourth year and I'm excited to go on the trip," said Confer.

Joslyn Ketzner, senior, placed second in advertising.
Bryce Raby, senior, placed third in photo illustration.
"It feels great to qualify for state," said Raby. "I'm most looking forward to the trip."

EmmaLee Archuleta, senior, received honorable mention in yearbook theme and graphics.
"It feels really awesome to qualify for state my third year in yearbook theme and graphics," said Archuleta.

Audrey Meyer, junior, placed second in feature writing.
Cassidy Busse, junior, placed second in editorial writing.
Busse and Meyer also placed second in yearbook theme and graphics. 
"It's really rewarding. It's a lot of work and Audrey and I worked really hard on our page so it's a good feeling that we are rewarded that way," said Busse. "All our hard work we put into this competition will benefit us for next year's yearbook."

Brady Schoenrogge, sophomore, received honorable mention in infographics.
Hadleigh Hilt, freshman, placed third in advertising and honorable mention in cutline writing.
Mia Morrow, freshman, received honorable mention in sports photography.
Jordyn Faulkender, freshman, placed third in sports writing. 
McKenna Poling, freshman, placed honorable mention in editorial cartoon.
