High School Volleyball Season Opens Tuesday
Matches With Hoxie to be Broadcast Live
The high school volleyball team will play their season opening matches on Tuesday, August 30th. The Lady Indians will travel to Hoxie to compete with the Hoxie Lady Indians and the Golden Plains Lady Bulldogs. Match time is 4:30 PM. There will be varsity, junior varsity, and C-team matches. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students. The match schedule is listed below.

The Lady Indians have twenty-three players on the team this year. The team will have a lot of new faces in the lineup as senior Kaitlin Figgins is the only player returning from the starting rotation of last season's team. Kaitlin is a two-time All-NWKL selection. Other returning letter winners include Jacquelyn Ketzner, Lexi Hilt, Trista Orth, and Christina Schoenrogge. The players are working hard to earn court time and improve their skills.
Most of the team participated in the team summer camp. Eleven girls participated in the a Summer Volleyball League in Colby. Several players also attended various collegiate camps to improve throughout the summer.

Freshmen: Kyla Bandel, Mariah Beikman, Aby Fernandez, Echo Jones, Ashlee Orth, Dallas Reed, McKayla Taylor, Justice Wiley, and Valerie Wurm
