Emma LaLond senior feature

By Anitzia Mayorquin

Emma LaLond is humble, kind and creative. She has always been a passionate and dedicated dancer. One of her proudest accomplishments is winning an LA dancing scholarship.

Junior Hadleigh Hilt says, “ She always comes to practice with such a great attitude and always ready to learn. Emma is one of the hardest workers I know and always has an open mind to trying new things. She has such an amazing personality and always so fun to be around.”

Not only is she a great dancer but a great friend.

“Emma is an absolute light in our school, our community and our world,” Andi Culwell, SWITCH leader, said. “She always has a smile on her face and never misses the opportunity to see when someone else might need that. There is a radiant joy about her that cannot go unnoticed. She stands strongly in her faith and is such a cheerleader for the Lord. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to know Emma and I am sure that everyone she comes in contact with would agree with me.”

Emma hopes to become a kindergarten teacher and plans to attend Kansas State University.

Junior Anitzia Mayorquin said she appreciated LaLond.

“I don’t like very many people but I think what I appreciate most from my friendship with Emma is how honest she is. She can always be counted on and I think that’s why I’ve grown to like her so much and why I truly think she’s someone I like to be around.”

Emma’s most fond memory of high school was when she won homecoming queen. This was Emma’s second year at SFCHS so she was shocked to have won and is why it was so memorable.
