St. Francis High School Gymnasium

Several upgrades have been made in recent months to improve the school facility. The high school gymnasium received a new facelift. The floor was redone with a new paint scheme and a new finish. The new finish is a water-based product and will not "yellow" as the old finish did. New lights were also installed in the gymnasium. These lights can be turned off and on quickly as they do not need time to warm up or cool down. The old lights took several minutes to come on. The lights and new floor finish has made the gymnasium much brighter.

New pads have been installed on the north and south gym walls replacing the old brown carpet and padding that had been there for years. The new pads provide increased safety for the athletes as well as enhance the appearance of the gymnasium.

New doors have been added at the high school. The doors match the windows that were installed last year and are much more energy efficient than the old school doors. The doors have thermal glass that prevents so much heat from entering or leaving the building and will not only improve the appearance of the building, but will also help with utility savings. There has been a noticeable difference in the temperature of the lower hallway on those hot and cold days since the doors were installed.
